The Kia Sorento was already one of the best midsize crossover SUVs on the market. But Kia made several improvements to make the 2019 version even better. Kia gave the new Sorento's exterior a minor makeover, redesigning its lighting clusters so the LED turn signals are now below the headlights, instead above them. Its grille now has differently designed elements within it, and the rear bumper and taillights have been slightly altered.

One of the biggest changes to the 2019 Kia Sorento is inside the cabin. Instead of having a third row optional on the Sorento like before, it now comes standard with three rows of seats. Its steering wheel now has four spokes, making it very comfortable to hold, and a new Terracotta color is available on its SX-L trim. The instrument cluster graphics are also slightly different and the Sorento now has a new shifter head. Kia even made the Sorento safer for 2019, adding lane keep assist, front parking sensors, and driver drowsiness monitoring to its many available driver assistance features.

Kia discontinued the optional 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine from the 2018 Sorento, but its standard 2.4-liter motor carries over for 2019 and still comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. The new engine option for the 2019 Kia Sorento is a 3.3-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower and pairs with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. Drivers in the Yorkville and Utica, NY areas will appreciate the extra 105 horsepower, as the V6 moves the Sorento easily even in high-stress situations like climbing hills. The base engine still gets some of the best gas mileage in its class at 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while the V6 will get you 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. The 2019 Kia Sorento is better than ever, with one of the nicest interiors in its class. People in the New Hartford and Rome areas can shop from a wide range of Sorento trims at Cooper Kia.
